I wasn't always a runner.
A couple of years ago before I started running as a sport, I couldn't even finish a 3-minute jog. The idea of shooting 3-minute running videos dawned on me two weeks before my first ever marathon. Coincidentally, I had a trip to US and so, I've decided to shoot a series of running videos on the cities and landmarks I visited. My motivation in starting this project is to use it as a platform to encourage ordinary people like you and me to lead physically active lifestyles and also, as an avenue to promote our nationalistic advocacies (FilipinoMatters.org).It just takes 3 minutes. When I got passed the 3-minute mark, I knew that I could do more. Next thing I realized was that I was running a full marathon with the same strategy: to run for 3 minutes and to walk for a 1-minute interval. Just like that until came across that finish line. So for me, if you can run for just 3 minutes, you can finish a marathon and beyond!Notes:
- I've placed the video camera on my head while running so that you'll get a runner's point-of-view. I'll take you to the beautiful sights through a runner's eyes that will make you realize why we enjoy running.- Soon, I will also run in as many places in the Philippines as possible as a way to promote Filipino culture and places. I'd like to call on others to do the same and share the videos on this website as well. If you're interested, feel free to contact me at dale@FilipinoMatters.org!- I still consider myself as an amateur runner but lately, I have been more physically active than I ever was. I've been trying different sports so I'll be posting other 3-minute videos of other sports: biking, rowing, swimming and hopefully, many more.- This project is in partnership with FilipinoMatters.org. Many of the videos are made to showcase our beautiful country in the perspective of different people, places, and activities. Foreigners and balikbayans are encouraged to explore the routes and places featured in these videos. This partnership is in line with Filipino Matters supporting healthy lifestyles for the betterment of each individual and of our community.
